Process

The materials that you’ll need for candle making are:
  • Wax
  • Wick
  • Container
  • Scent (optional)
  • Color (optional)
  • DIRECTIONS

    1. Place Wick in Jar
First you need to place the wick into the jar you're going to put your wax in. You can reuse candle jars because it’s both eco-friendly and budget-friendly.

    2. Heat the Wax
Put your pot on the stove or you can put it on a double boiler ( I prefer that option ) next put your wax in and let it melt. At this moment, you can add your fragrance and your color if you desire to.

    3. Pour Wax into Container
Lastly, pour wax into a jar/container, and let it sit so it can harden. You can use chopsticks or pencils to make the wick stay in place while it dries.

    Best Waxes:

The most commonly used waxes for candles are Paraffin wax, Soy wax, and Beeswax. I mostly use soy wax because that is the only one I've used so far. It’s up to your preference though, they all are good waxes that can be used for candle making.

    TIPS

    Do's
  • Burn in drought-free areas
  • Take care not to damage the wick
  • Burn in a well-ventilated room
  • Dont's
  • Move a burning candle
  • Use near flammable materials
  • Use for more than 4 hours at a time
